My container Uncle Ghost (Seattle, WA USA) appears to have an infestation on the bark. See the photos. This doesn't look like scale insects from the photos I've seen but I'm not sure. Assuming this is some type of infestation/disease, help with identification and options for treatment would be highly appreciated. It's fairly extensive. Thanks in advance.
Only the most exposed to the Sun surfaces are affected? Then it is probably a sunscald, not an infection.
