Hi all we have a Princeton Gold maple. We actually have two. One is fine but one has leaves that are bleaching out and have brown spots on them. Any suggested diagnosis and recommendations for treatment? Thanks!

This is usually a symptom of 'sunburn' or too much sun. Dryness exaggerates things as does wind.

I see a bunch of ponderosa pines across the street - if you are in the interior, it may in fact be a bit hot and dry for this plant in that climate with all that paving and stone mulch where it is planted. If the other specimen is on a watered lawn or other more humid part of the property that could reinforce such a supposition.

Thanks for the responses thus far. They’re all in close proximity to each other. This is the only one evidencing this type of problem.
