I am going to seedy saturday at van dusen gardens this morning. Does anyone have any recommendations re indeterminate cherry tomatos? I have grown various types over the years, yellow or red or whatever, but something black might be nice ...

I have grown some Sugary grape tomatoes for the last couple of years and they have been great, but I guess this is a little late. What did you get?

I've grown Sugary too, and it was popular with the kids, who will not eat tomatos at the table but love to pull them off the vines in the garden. But I always try something new, and today I got "Black Plum" and "Black Cherry". Now I need a yellow. Last year I grew "Sweet Orange" (OK but insufficiently prolific) and "Brandywine" (only a few tomatos grew) so this year my rep is really on the line. .

This year in the small yellow tomato department , I am growing Ildi, Yellow pearshaped, and Sun Sugar, which is actually more orange I think. None of which I have grown before.

    Soccerdad,
I agree with JanR. I alway put in some form of yellow pear tomatoe and the last few years the Sun Sugar also. They both do pretty well here in Anacortes. As you said, the kids won't eat tomatoes at the table but they sure do, fresh out of the garden. I have also noticed that the squirrels love them as well. The benifit there is that the seeds go thru their system, come out with their own coating of fertiziler and grow better than any seeds I plant in the following year. Of course some are in the rockery some in the edge of the lawn and other undesirable places. I just go with the flow.
