You are so right about that..........worse then chalk.
I know, it's just downright disgusting!
I can't even eat some of the so-called 'tomatoes' in the winter time - red on the outside/white on the inside! Gross.
No wonder I grow my own veggies - even when its snowing outside.
I'll have to go out and make a list of all the tomatoes and peppers that i have, and if any plants strike your fancy, let me know and i will save you some seeds.
Actually if anyone wants any.
I'll do that tonight and post it tomorrow.
Thanks Penny, that sounds great. Interested to see what ya got - not like I need anymore seeds!
Growing my own food was one of my main motivations to start gardening probably a little over a year ago :)
I don't think the pics I posted are vincas...I wish I could post a better pic, but my phone doesn't do too well with close up shots :-/
The Yellow ones would have been waaaay back in one of the first packets of seeds I sent, if I sent them (which my notes say I did, but hey, I've been wrong before...)
OMG - you are right! I forgot about those ones, and I don't think I realized what I had. Sorry about that, Beth.
Well, look at that Penny, you will be getting two different colors! I am just going to stick to the red variety for now. How exciting it will be to watch it grow!
"Seed Pal" like a Pen Pal? That'd be a great group to join...
Absolutely it would.
Ok....so i went out earlier and counted and made my list, I'll type it out tomorrow morning, but i have 17 kinds of peppers, and 35 kinds of tomatoes growing at the moment.
Hmm....also I'll be adding some type of cherry to the list soon, just have to upload the pictures of the fruit...I have no idea what they are called again!
Ok.........here is my list of Peppers and Tomatoes that i have growing.
hot cherry pepper
hungarian sweet pepper
marzitti hot pepper
carribean hot pepper
high voltage hot pepper
chinese chocolate pepper
hawaaiin chili pepper
cherry pepper thaipepper
Those are what i have growing for tomatoes and peppers.
true black brandywine
golden honey bunch
Oh my goodness, Penny! You have some awesome varieties - wow!
I want them all! No, of course I am kidding. I held off on mailing your seeds so you could choose whatever you want from my 'have' list also, and we can do a trade. I am going to pick what I want from your lists and send you my selections in email, shortly. I will likely pick 10 varieties, so be sure to pick 10 of mine also, ok?
As well, you will be recieving Tamarillo seeds (Tomato tree) in both yellow and red. I will mail everthing off by tonight or tomorrow morning - depending how busy.
Thanks for listing your great seeds, Penny, and participating in my seed traders thread.
P.S. I love cherries, Joey!
Wow PennyG that is a lot of tomatoes. I can't believe that you are growing that many types of tomatoes. I thought that I was growing a lot of different types and I only have 12 varieties. I might be interested in some of your seeds. I don't have anything to share at the moment, except some double pink poppy seeds. I plan to save lots of tomato seeds this year. The varieties that I am growing are:
Yellow Pear Shaped
I wish I liked tomatoes, because everyone's growing them!
You don't like tomatoes?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe it's just the store bought ones, I'll have to grow my own some year and see.
The store bought ones are gross. Definitely try your own.
Oh absolutely, there is nothing like fresh tomatoes out of your own garden.
Yes, Penny is right - it's a whole other world, ShearMe.
You should try a nice sweet cherry tomato - you will fall in love.
I got your email HBL....and sent one back to you. :)
