seeds with one big wing (Thailand)

    Believed to come from a tall unidentifiable tree (among Ficus and other trees - canapy too tall and mixed to tell which trees the seeds came from).

    On my PC the seeds are about life size - the seed itself without the wing is between 1/2 inch and 2cm :)

    Help !

    Many thanks again Kadai ! Certainly a Scaphium species - interesting to see the herbal/food use made of the gelatinous seed covering, I'll see what other information I can find.

    I was informed that the seeds might be Pterocymbium tinctorium.
