    Hi,

I am always a big fan of everything strange or unusual, or exotic. I wonder if anyone knows an online shop which is specialized in seeds of altered plants, or new type of plants, or maybe of those hybrid plants whose seeds still reflect the altered way.

Does anyone knows a place to get seeds?

If you try to collect and grow seeds of genetically altered plants, you'll get Monsanto jumping down on your throat like a ton of bricks . . .

I googled for "Monsanto", and one of the search results is an agricultural company. Is that what you mean, or is "Monsanto" the name of a person?

I am not really talking about genetically altered plants here, I was thinking about natural mutations, or those hybrids which can have similar offspring (most hybrids cannot reproduce themselves but only one of the unaltered "parents"). Of course, if I could get one of these rare, fluorescent plants which were genetically altered to glow, I wouldn't mind, ha ha ha!

Yes, Monsanto the agricultural company. They are the major producer of altered plants, and defend their plant patents on them very vigorously - anyone they catch propagating their plants, they will take to court and press for very high penalties.

Hi Michael, I just checked out their products, but they are focusing on products with agricultural values in the nutritional field. But my own focus is more decorative plants, and unusual plants. So even if I would succeed to grab my hands on some of their products or seeds, it wouldn't be what I want.

This is a bit more what I want: http://mix.msfc.nasa.gov/abstracts.php?p=3954

Hey, have you checked out the International Seed Exchange? It's a new forum. Check my signature.
