Older seeds sometimes need more soaking before putting into the ziplocs or whatever system you use.

If you soak longer than a day, do change the water each day to avoid suffocating the seeds...they still need a bit of oxygen if they are indeed still alive.

Above the fridge or water heater is often a good spot for the bags of seeds once they are ready for germinating, I think most or all of yours are more tropical and would benefit from warmer than room temps.

i was thinkingn pf possibly putting tem outside on or under my deck. The temps now in the day here are around 155 or 20+ so mabey a little more time. I was thinking that they needed light to germinate.

Palm seeds are notoriously slow, patience is definitely a must. I've had some seeds take a year to germinate.
