The year before last I had a large tree full of beautiful ruby red grapefruit. Last year it got a lot colder than it had in previous years. The fruit had thick skin and some were very lumpy. Add to this a winter so cold it froze the fruit. Now this year the fruit is plentiful but about the size of oranges. Is this a predictable cycle for cold winter crop?
