I live in a wooded area in central Missouri, near Lake of the Ozarks. We have had a lot of rain this year. Usually we are quite dry. This year we have had a lot of unusual Fungi appearing. can someone identify this one. the closest i could come to was a Lenzites Betulina by Michael Wood (Mycoweb)
This is my first time here so excuse any mistakes.

welcome to the group. I imagine you meant to include a picture with your post - but that didn't work out so well. we'll try out best to ID it when the pic comes up. thanks.

YUM! Just found some today....looks like you're Chicken Of the Woods...Sulpher Shelf..........just depends on if it's white or yellow underneath. Most of what I find in the Ozark area was white...so Chicken of the woods..........if u cut the fresh tips off these...they make for great cooking!

I've eaten two species of Laetiporous. They were the only mushrooms to make both me and my friend sick.

Be cautious. Eat a little first.
