We have 3 Schubert Cherry trees - oldest is 8 years old. The one that is flowering/blooming was planted 2 years ago (was a second year stock) and started to bud last week and tonight is in full bloom (not all branches, but more than half the branches). I have searched sources on the internet and can't find anyone talking about second flowering/bloom this late in the year. It has flowered in late spring already and now, again. Does anyone have any relevant information on this tree's second flowering/blooming season [already has ripe berries from the springtime flowering/bloom].
Just an interesting tree that we appreciate in our backyard all around. Thanks.
