Saw in Beacon Hill Park, Victoria BC - please identify

I saw this wonderful plant in Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, BC yesterday.

Can anyone identify it?

It is a Magnolia sp.
I think it may be Magnolia sieboldii.
Someone will be along soon and tell you which one it is for sure!

I agree with that determination. You can also see it in QE Park and I think Van Dusen, UBC Botanical Gardens.
