Samaras missing

Hi,
The winter has begun downunder. Time to look for maple seeds . But surprise,surprise. there is not one tree in my neighborhood which carrys any seeds. I always thought that Japanese maples will have seeds every winter/ Is that wrong?

Some do in spring, and some in the fall.

 

Maybe a Good Samaratan will come along and help you out. Most trees have variable seed crops.
