Hort. is added because the name is recognized horticulturally, but does not seem to have been scientifically published.

I have this in my wildflower garden. I use it as sage in cooking and when it flowers I put the flowers in a tiny vase-so pretty and smells clean! I have never used it for cooking after it flowers. Is this correct or can I snip flowers and use new growth? Always afraid the taste would not be the same. New here-Leeta
