Sago Palms

  1. My Sago Palm is about 6 - 7 years old. It is planted in my front yard in Ocala, Florida. About a week ago I noticed that in the center of the tree where the "ball" is located I can see some red pods that look like an egg. The eggs are under the covering of the ball. What is this? What do I do with them? They seem to be easily picked off the ball.

I would appreciate any information you can offer.
