Sabal minor and S. palmetto

    Just thought Id throw in a nice summer photo of some native palms growing in a swampy area of SE Georgia USA.

    I presume the trunk on the right is Sabal palmetto, and the leaves are Sabal minor? Or also any Sabal palmetto saplings?

    Michael F... Good question! Im presuming the smaller are S. minor but I guess they could be sapling S. palmetto. Im not too good with IDing the Sabal species though. I know this area has at least one other palm other than the two Sabals and that would be Seronea repens. Rhaphidophyllum hystrix, another southeastern native might be here too but didnt see any in the park.
