Identification: Russula sp.?

    Seen on Mayne Island. Do they belong to the Russula sp.?

    Hi David - I see what you mean about being very Russula-looking, and I can't see quite enough detail to provide a genuinely reasonable ID, but my best guess based on what I can see is Gomphidius.

    So it is a Spike-cap. Mushrooms are not easy to ID.
