The following was received via email: Are thimbleberries only grown in the NW. Didn't seem to be able to get this in forum. Sorry. Ann
Hello Ann, That is a good question. Thimbleberries grow accross Canada and in the US in the west from Alaska to California east to Colorado and accross the north to the northern great lakes. One website mentioned that they sometimes naturalize in Britain, so they can grow in other areas. (They are tasty, but have few fruit.) http://www.rook.org/earl/bwca/nature/shrubs/rubuspar.html http://plants.usda.gov/cgi_bin/topics.cgi?earl=plant_profile.cgi&symbol=RUPA
