    Morning All,

I am trying to identify this tree in my front yard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Salix alba, babylonica, daphnoides, integra, laevigata, pentandra, and x sepulcralis are in cultivation in N. California. Might try these first and see if you find a match.

    Thanks...

I think Salix Alba is the closest I've seen. Although, I honestly don't recall ever seeing flowers...

What's the most I can prune this back at one time? It's currently 25+ feet. Ideally I would love to keep it 10-15'.

    Thanks again.

If it is Salix alba it will fight back when you try to keep it small - which means you will likely have to prune annually or every-other year. I do not know if "aggressive" pruning will harm the tree. Is there a good nursery near by where you can ask staff about it?
