    Hello Everyone,

    Just re-joined UBC-BC.

I'm in Ottawa and just removed the styrofoam cones that I place on my roses. Usually a success to over-winter here. This year a few of the roses I planted last Spring/Summer have black canes. Not sooty, rigid. There are some that are showing green on the lower part of the cane(s). Fungus? Black Fungus? Dead canes?

Advice on what to do with the ones that a predominantly black would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    HP

    Thanks!

I've not had this happened before. Any suggestions why it happened?
