Will a rose of sharon/purple althea do good in a pot? Or should I put it in the ground? I bought it because I thought it was a tropical hibiscus and just recently realized it isn't. Should I plant it in the ground? If I do go ahead and put it in the ground, I plan to buy the tropical hibiscus to go in the pot, because they don't last in the cold months here. Like I said before I am new to all this gardening, but am loving it!

Both will do better in the ground.

Thank you. What does well in a pot?
