    I would like to try grafting my neighbor's maple. Where would I find rootstock?

    Wich maple is ?Saccharinum or Saccarum or...?you have pics of this maple?If is one common maple rootstock is avaible in the wild but I don't know if is possible this in Canada

    Looks to be Acer palmatum of some kind, Japanese maple.

    ok you shopping one acer palmatum subsp.palmatum is easy avaible in every nursery,this is the base for every graft of acer palmatum,after see this "grafting the japanese maple"by google or another.Your maple have a good autum coulor!but ID is difficult with this pics ,you have pics of leaves in spring ?because if you maple is palmatum subsp.palmatum is easy propagate by seed ..ciao alex
