Does anyone have experience using rooting gels vs. traditional methods es[ecially for soft and hardwood cuttings? I was wondering if the cost was worth the hype? Thanks Scott Hamilton, NJ
If by "traditional" you mean a rooting powder, the gel and liquid have been found to give more consistent results. This is partly because of the variable adhesion of the powders and also because the powdered hormones have to get into solution before they are available to the plant. The liquids formulations (there are many) are the most commonly used by commercial propagators. Ralph
i have used it for other plantings and the root growth is more consinctant and has a realy good starter as if any plants have a good root base they well have good growth so i do incourage u to try it and u will find out urself if is was worth it i wish i had have used it from my first cutting and it wouldnt have died hehe
