If a person in Central Illinois (Peoria) wanted to find a good source for Japanese maples and other maples within a day's drive (5-8 hours), is there anyone out there who could recommend a nursery or two? I'm looking for about 3-4' in a #5 container. They seem to do best for me in zone 5. It's just that my local nursery has mostly Bloodgood, maybe a verdis or two. If anyone out there knows of any nurseries, I would love to hear about it. I would love to have a hitch put on my truck, buy/borrow a pull behind and take a little drive to Washington or Oregon, but that sounds crazy even to me. A day trip however.... Kay
