My rhubarb is just getting to the size where I can use it and I see it has started to push up seed pod. I was wondering does anyone know why and is there something I can do? This is a large clump about 2.5' before it gets any leaves. It also is on the south side and receives lots of sun. I did put a little home compost on it this year. Any thoughts are greatly appriciated.
    Thanks

Just remove the flower stalks as soon as you notice them. I don't think that they do much harm.
