    Hi,

I wonder if there is anywhere in BC I can purchase a pink rhododendron mucronulatum, preferably in the lower mainland or perhaps Vancouver Island. I saw a group of them at VanDusen a couple of weeks ago and like the airy look as well as the colour. The tag said grown from seed collected in Korea. How long would it take to bloom on a plant started from seed?

    thank you for any info.

'Cornell Pink' is a nice form if you happen to run across it.

    Hi johnnyjumpup,

    R. mucronulatum and R. 'Cornell Pink' both bloom in 2 to 3 years from cuttings, R. mucronulatum should bloom in about 4 to 5 years from seed.

We have both available and will be vendors:

    April 11, 12 & 13th, 2008 at the Bradner Flower and Garden Show, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

April 12th, 2008 at the Fraser South Rhododendron Society Annual Plant Sale, Langley United Church, 5673 - 200th St. Langley, BC, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

May 3 & 4th, 2008, at the Vancouver Rhododendron Society Annual Show and Sale at Park & Tilford, 333 Brooksbank Ave. at Main in North Vancouver, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Great news!

Where is Bradner, more specifically the Bradner Flower Show? I know it is the daffodil capitol of BC but could not find it on the map.

How much would a Cornell Pink cost? How big?

    Thank you.
