... great little tree ... i love it ... as a bonsai i've shaped and trimmed it to a lovely shape. a few questions about the species in general though .. - do rhodo's like to be root bound ? the few i've purchased seem quite tight with very fibrous roots. - will rhodo's deal well with a hard root pruning? would it result in major leaf and flower bud drop? - what and when is the best time to repot a rhododendron ? attached are my two Rhodo's ... the first is the R. Impeditum and the other is my R. PJM Elite [which is starting to flower!]
