Rhododendrons: Rhododendron Hedge

Hi all,

Any recommendations about making a hedge from rhododendrons? This would be a shorter one, about 3-4 feet in height. This would be below a pair of mature redwoods - I've read that while most plants don't do well under redwoods, rhododendrons do well. Any suggestions as to what kinds and what kind of maintenance we can expect?
