I was given a house plant that has stems growing from orangish colored rhisomes. These stems grow a few inches tall and have three triangular leaves sprout from the top of the stem. At night these leaves fold downward and when the sun shines in the morning they open up to be a horizontal position. These stem also produce white five petal flowers. There are four or more flowers at the top of the stems. These rhisomes are very prolific.
