    Since this is so strongly fruit-related, and we do have people occasionally looking for hardier kiwi, I've moved this to the fruit and veggie gardening area.

    There are a few; Frost peach comes to mind. However, most development activity is geared to commercial crops, which, at least in the Pacific Northwest of NA, are mostly in the warm summer areas east of the Cascades.

    At least we have some fruits that naturally prefer cool summers, such as blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.
