Replanting Summer Snowflake

Discussion in 'Woody Plants' started by Unregistered, May 27, 2004.

  1. I have 2 summer snowflake schrubs that I would like to relocate. they are quite large. I am wondering what the root structure is like. Are they deep or shallow and how much do they spead? Is this something that is easily relocatable?

  2. I also have been considering moving a summer snowflake viburnum..so would be very interested in any information you get re. replanting.
The plant is only one year old and about half of the plant died over the winter. I pruned off the dead branches and that seemed to stimulate some healthier growth. However. the plant is only half of its original size and not growing as I had hoped :-((
It is planted in a spot that is shaded in the morning and gets sun for the rest of the day?
Can anyone advise me how to make my little summer snowflake viburnum happy?
A new but keen gardner in South Eastern Ontario.
Thank you for any advise you can offer.

Too bad neither one of you registered. If you come back let me know and I'll post the info.
