I have a very old (probably 30+ years) bamboo plant in my yard. I'm pretty sure it's a clumping type, as it's stayed in the same corner all this time (though it is very large).

Would it be possible to dig this plant up and replant it along a 90ft stretch of fence to be used as a sort of privacy shrub?
How difficult would it be to do this?
What would be necessary to do this?

I'm in Southeast Texas, so it is fairly hot and humid most of the year (very rarely get freezes in the winter). The soil here is clay-ish.
