I have lavender planted to the right and left of the front of the house. I planted them 2 years ago and they are starting to get very woody and scraggly looking. Does lavender do well if I dig them all up and replant them?

    Sundrop...
That is a great set of instructions for starting most plant cuttings. I do it for roses and hydrangea. You don't often see the "tail" mentioned. barb

    Coming from an experienced gardener.

Libtech152, to prevent your new plants from getting woody and scraggly you will have to remember to prune them from the very beginning. If correctly pruned Lavender plants can keep good looks for 10 years or more.
There is plenty of info on the Net on pruning Lavender. Here is one of the links: http://www.lavenderenchantment.com/Growing/pruning.htm
