At the Strada Estate where I live, the roadside boundary western cedar hedge is some 250 meter long and stands about 2 meters high and 1-1.5 meters wide It is 35 years old and has been trimmed anually to maintain a box shape. In recent rears the growth of new foliage in the summer months has become minimal, and the hedge has developed many "holes" and "bald spots", and looks quite unhealthly compared to younger hedges on the property.
Is it possible to rejuvinate and old hedge like this or would it be best to consider replacement.
    advice appreciated
