I have several 20 year old Spirea x bumalda 'Goldflame' bushes (2 - 3 feet tall) that have faithfully flowered each year, but have also accumulated a lot of dead wood and are in need of rejunvenation. How should I do this, and during what season? I'm in zone 6. ~C
