rejuvenate nine bark

    is it ok to cut to the ground, a summer wine nine bark in the month of june, it really needs help............thanks

    Hard pruning (coppicing) should be done only very early in spring, before the bud-break.

    slight new growth on top and 1 side of bush rest is bare, bush is 4 years old, have trimmed about 8 " every year for shape and never had a problem untill this year, so thinking rejuvenation............what do you think? I live in wisconsin. last trim was this april............looks terrible in front of house.................!!
