The October 2009 issue of National Geographic has a cover story for redwoods. The magazine is already out for sale at many places like Barnes and Noble, or for subscribers. Big fold-out, which by the way, is a fun jigsaw puzzle too, at the Nat Geo site. If you search online, you can find the .kmz file for Michael Fay's 333 redwood transect, to view the path in Google Earth.
Last month, I noticed that National Geographic still offers what I think is a 6 foot tall print of this. http://gallery.pictopia.com/natgeo/gallery/92241/photo/natgeo:8389209/?o=1 Odds are that they will make it available for some time to come. I have it in mind to buy one next year if available, but may need to make my own frame for it.
