Hi, I have a question about one of my pacific redwoods. The tree is large, easily over 10 feet around at the base, and has always been healthy and green. However, the leaves have recently been yellowing and slightly oranging. Is this pretty normal for Redwoods? I'm in the Bay Area in California. Thanks!
"[L]ack of available iron makes needles turn yellow every summer, especially on new growth - apply iron sulfate or chelated iron. (It's normal for oldest leaves to turn yellow, then brown, and then drop in late summer and early fall; it is normal for short twigs to brown and fall also.)"
