    Hello Everyone,

I've had this flower since it was a seed (3 years ago) and it just now started to bloom. I hope someone can help me identify it.

Let me describe some of it's features. It's got 3 red pedals on top and yellow portions on the bottom that are similar to a snap dragon. The leaves tend to grow at the base. And after blooming season there some green spike pods right behind the pedals that split into three slices that contain black, pea-sized seeds.

I harvested the seeds from a plant in front of a Hayward store.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a Canna. Which one is difficult to say, but it reminds me of the flowers from the Foliage group of cultivars. Whatever it is, cultivar-wise, it's a beautiful example.
