I planted these red osier dogwood berries this fall hoping that they'd stratify outdoors over the winter and then germinate in the spring. However, many if not most of them germinated immediately. Now I'm wondering if they can be saved.

I'm in Powell River BC, zone 8b or 9a, so freezing is still likely a few months off, and I have an unheated greenhouse I could raise them in for now to extend this season, but is there any chance they'll produce buds and go dormant in time for winter? Should I try taking them inside for the winter instead?

    See attached photo.
