In June 2008 I was traveling down the coast of Oregon. At Cape Sebastian I took a lot of wild flower pictures. I have 3 I need identified, I can not find them in my books.

This one I only took a picture of the flowers. I failed to get one of the plant. It is a cluster of pink, (or red), flowers on the end of a single stem.

Thank you Silver Surfer. I get the feeling you knew what to go searching for. I was at a complete loss on this one. I did a Google Image search and found 2 pictures that confirm, (in my mind anyway), that my flower is the Armeria sp. Props Armeria maritima. One site called it a "Sea Pink" and stated it was a Thrift.

Thrift is the correct name; "sea pink" is an old erroneous name dating from before the time that it was shown to be unrelated to the pinks (Dianthus).

Thank you Michael. I'll drop the "Sea Pink" out of my discription.
