Red Maple dying

Planted red maple 2 years ago. This spring it leafed out late, all leaves were reddish with tiny bits of green. Leaves never changed and now the leaves have all wilted and it looks to be dying. Any ideas or suggestions.

Does it get any supplemental water during the summer where it is planted?

 

Yes, it gets plenty of water as we have had regular rain this summer. We haven't had to water anything so far this summer.
