Red dragon video ( our oldest specimen )

    I finally made a couple of new video's this past week. I scrapped one as the camera just did not pick up the details well.
    I did prune our oldest japanese maple tree on our property though. It is an acer palmatum red dragon. I did purchase it in a container 42 years ago. It was already approx. 10 years old then. We decided to train it upright to an extent.
    Was in need of a good thinning out ( to my eye's) so here is the result

    I agree that pruning , so i do.
    An other case: Acer palmatum obtained for seed, 13 years old, was needing a good upright pruning . I did it in january 2023.
