on my property in Langley, BC I have 4 Red Currant and 2 Gooseberry bushes, all are over 5 years old. There are also Raspberries, Strawberries and Blueberries that are not affected. Every year the leafes on the Gooseberry bushes fall off, the fruit is rather small (10-12 mm diameter) and the fruit has black spots, these spots are up to 2-3 mm and penetrate the fruit. For their age the bushes are small only about 60 cm high, what can I do? Red Currants ripen unevenly, have black spots that cover the surface of the berries 40 % after harvest I noticed many maggots on the picked fruit, I don't know if the moggots came from the fruit inside or not. The Red currants plants look healthy, have lush green leafes and strong growth. Neither bushes were sprayed. How can I prevent that from happening next year? What is it I need to do. Pictures were taken and are available. How to get pictures posted? Gardner in Langley
