This photo was taken along the eastern edge of Currituck Sound, north of Duck, NC - early September.

    I.D. appreciated!

My apologies! This is not in North Carolina. This was taken in coastal Maine, early September, 1994. Moderators, please advise how to fix this thread - I don't think I can edit the title.

I think it may be Salicornia?

Even if the image were taken in North Carolina, I don't believe Imperata has been found in NC, at least not that far north.
