    Hello all,

My grandmother received flowers for her birthday, including this red furry convoluted thing that I first thought was a plastic decoration. On closer inspection, each convoluted furry red 'flower' (one of them is isolated at the bottom of the main photo) has a stem, and the stems look really vegetal. So... can someone provide me with a name if this is vegetal ? (or laugh at me if this is not)

    Thank you very much!

I knew the Celosia plumosa kind of shape, but not this one, which must then be Celosia cristata.

Cultivars of C. argentea, as in C. argentea 'Cristata' rather than species C. cristata.
