Identification: recently acquired "succulent"?

    this was recently bought without a name tag, vendor thought it was named seneca or senica, but subsequent searches produced no name or characteristic results! If you've encountered this suspect, please advise how we should address her so as not to offend. Leaves are round and much longer than rosemary, no fragrance, stem very fleshy. But, don't want to introduce until we know it's safe to do so.

    Try Senecio, which is a highly variable genus of herbaceous plants and succulents. The spelling thing may be why you haven't seen results that match. Senecio barbertonicus is pretty similar. Compare

    Not a Senecio.

    Its Peperomia ferreyrae.
