I have just recently purchased a new house that had grape vines growing all around the deck. The gentleman that bought the house from and his family said that they wanted to come back for the vines at a later date, which was fine by me. Well, my mother's husband decided yesterday that they need to be cut down and chopped them all! I want to try and save them but I don't know what to do! I have no experience with grape vines. I grabbed some cuttings and put them in water but i have not idea what i should be doing with them to try and save something for this man and his family. I have a feeling that they meant something special to them, please help, and thank you all in advance.
If the roots are still there, it will regrow. The former owners probably would have cut the vines down anyway for ease of moving them. If they wanted cuttings though, sounds like you'll have to do some work for them. Grape Vine Propagation
