Really lovely dendrobiums, plus 2 for ID

    These were growing wildcrafted in the cloud forest.

    The first is for sure a dendrobium, but as for the two micro-orchids in the subsequent pics I have no clue as to where to even start looking.... Individual florets were perhaps 5mm across the widest point, on racemes of 10cm.

    Edit - oh, perhaps Pleurothallis?

    Hi Lorax,

    I've been looking at these pictures for a couple of days now and I'm ready to 'chime in'. I don't think either are Dendrobiums, the first looks to be some sort of Oncidium while the others are possibly Pleurothallids. I'm incredibly jealous that you have such interesting flora around you.

    Come visit, then. We're cheaper than Mexico, and waaaay less dangerous for Canadians. And we are most definitely warmer than NWT, year-round.

    You know, looking though my (limited!) orchid book, I'd say yes, that's definitely an Oncidium; looks like O. serratum. Boy is my face red.
