    Hello everyone,

I bought a plant from the Larch Grocer at West Broadway and Larch at the end of August. Its the coolest houseplant I've ever seen and I have no idea what it is. Its got a dark black/purely woody stem and grows purple tube shaped flowers with white insides. After the flower dies and falls off, it leaves a little cone/triangle bit with small purple bumps that eventually grows into a green ball with little purple bumps which eventually cracks and spills out seeds. Told you it's cool! Anyways, its got aphids right now and i'm worried that its dying, (i've been spraying it with a mix of dish soap and water and they aphids have gotten much better). I'm also unsure of how to care for it...it was doing really well the first few months and now its loosing a lot of leaves and its two newest buds fell off (however that could be because of the aphids).

If you have any ideas, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Julia
