Really cool flower

    I have attached a picture of a really cool flower and or plant that my sister has I am looking to see if someone can help me identify it. I have seed pods from it and would like to know how or when to plant them.

    One of the flowers is Hibiscus coccineus.

    Thank you all so much I know the flower itself looked familair like Hibiscus but the leaves really threw me off!! Now I have seed pods from this and would like to grow this plant indoors is this possible?
